Pokemon Episode 261: Entei at Your Own Risk

Scenario:
The gang starts heading off to Mt Silver for the Johto League. Larvitar seems to be enjoying the journey chilling with Ash. Misty and Brock tries to talk to Larvitar but Larvitar gets scared of them. Brock's not too phased but Misty's a little angry since Larvitar only likes Ash. Ash teases Misty for a bit and admires Larvitar. An Ursaring charges out of the bushes and fires a hyper beam at them, they being angry and all for no reason. The Ursaring chases the gang for a while into the woods, but they lose him. After a minute of catching some breath, they notice there's a spring nearby with some wild Pokemon in it. The spring looks like a big place and there's even a free spring that no Pokemon seems to be occupying.

Ash goes forward and trips a wire that sets off an alarm. The gang looks about and then someone shouts "Entei's here!" This gets Ash's attention as he looks around to see if Entei's around. A boy pops out from the bushes and looks dissapointed. He was the one who said Entei was around, but apparently it was just Ash who tripped his alarm. He says his name's Naoya, he's stays around here to look for Entei in hopes to catch it. This spring is supposed to be a favorite spot for Entei, but so far no luck. Soon the same Ursaring rambles out of the bushes, but only heads for a spring. Naoya explains that this place is a favorite of Pokemon here for relaxing. He walks off, saying that Entei's always moving, so should he.

Ash decides to let all of his Pokemon relax in the spring. He releases all of his Pokemon, but Totodile's a bit quick to go in. Ash tells him to wait, since he wants to introduce his Pokemon to Larvitar. Totodile, cheerful as always, dances around and with Larvitar for a while before letting him go. Larvitar finds himself in front of Cyndaquil, which both get scared. Phanpy greets Larvitar and finally Bayleef picks him up with her vines while Noctowl greets. All this is a little too much for Larvitar and soon Larvitar screeches out real loud.

All of Ash's Pokemon are soon in the pool, relaxing or playing. Ash tries to cheer up Larvitar from the last encounter. Misty releases all of her Pokemon which they all gladly go in the water. Brock releases Crobat and Pineco for a dip. Psyduck, as usual, can't swim and ends up just splashing Larvitar and sitting out instead. Misty is frustrated, but soon finds Psyduck half burried in a pile of sand. They wonder what he's up to, but Brock feels the sand and it appears to be hot. He releases Onix and Geodude so they can relax. Onix simply puts up a blanket of sand over it, but Geodude has another thing in mind. Geodude tosses Larvitar in the pile of hot sand. It scares Larvitar at first, but Larvitar relaxes a bit. Soon all of the gang's Pokemon start to gather around Larvitar, which Larvitar ends up screeching in fright again.

Someways away, Team Rocket spies on the gang once more. Seeing that he has all of his Pokemon out, this could be a great chance to sange all of his Pokemon. And Mewoth has a plan raring.

After everyone settles down from Larvitar's screech, a van pulls over next to the gang. Soon two over-enthusiastic vendors pop out and offer out a variety of drinks and other refreshments. Ash is more than excited to see what they have, but Misty and Brock don't feel like looking around. Ash urges them, but they refuse. After Ash and all of his Pokemon go in the back of the truck, where everything is supposed to be, the doors close! The vendors reveal themselves to be Jesse and James and soon they drive off. The others try to chase, but it's too late for that now...

Back inside, Ash demands who's responsible for this, the Rockets open a little hatch and poke fun at Ash for a while. Ash tells everyone to try bashing the door open. Everyone except Ash and Larvitar try but the door won't budge. Ash tries a few other attacks. Pikachu tries to shock it, but the electricity is carried around through the cabin, shocking everyone. Bayleef tries Razor leaf, then Cyndaquil tries Flamethrower. Which seems to make a mark. Totodile's still there, but Ash gets an idea. He tells Cyndaquil to use Flamethrower again, then Totodile cool it down with water gun. The Pokemon do it again and Bayleef shoots some Razor Leaves at the spot and it breaks away. Finally everyone gets ready to jump from the truck. Noctowl Carries two Pokemon while Bayleef jumps out with Ash and the rest of the rest.

At the last second, Ash loses grip of Larvitar which he goes flying. But before Larvitar can hit the ground, he's caught by a Misdreavus. Ash gets Larvitar and thanks the Misdreavus, which turns out to be Naoya's. He heard from Misty and Brock about Team Rocket. Well they'll let Team Rocket go off for now, and until they ever come back (if they do) Ash challenges Naoya to a battle.

Meanwhile the Rockets figure out that their prize escaped, and they didn't notice. Oh well, they never come around without a Plan B.

The battle starts, and it only looks like it's a short 2 Pokemon battle. Naoya sends out his Misdreavus while Phanpy goes up on his own, despite any risk. Ash doesn't mind about this, as long as Phanpy doesn't mind. Misdreavus gives off the first attack with Headbutt while Phanpy goes in for a Tackle. Phanpy is able to resist the Headbutt but Misdreavus rounds up and uses Swift. Phanpy comes down to a Defense Curl which Swift is easily blocked. Misdreavus finally attacks with a Psybeam that Phanpy almost dodges, but the beam outruns Phanpy. Phanpy is down, but not out, left with a confused look. Misdreavus gives Phanpy a Mean Look and waits. Ash tries to recall Phanpy, but it won't work. Naoya laughs and says that this move is gauranteed to stop Entei from running. He gives the last command when all of a sudden something interupts them.

It's the Rockets! They soon make fun of the gang as always before unleashing their plan. They send three tornados from their fans and it creates a giant whirlpool that gets sucked into a vacuum. Soon all the Pokemon get sucked into the whirlpool. A few of the the gang's make it out but Pineco. Brock goes after it in the whrilpool and tries to catch it. He does, but the Ursaring knocks into Brock making him release Pineco. Brock tries to get it but soon Pineco starts to glow. It stops the whirlpool and all the Pokemon fall back into the spring. It's soon realized that Pineco evovled into Forretress. Brock thanks Forretress for stopping the whirlpool, but the Rockets aren't through yet. Meowth hits full blast on the turbofans and it creates a whirlpool that surrounds the balloon!

Ash tells everyone to attack the balloon, but all the attacks can't get past the whirlpool. Mewoth just laughs. But all of a sudden a giant Flamethrower from the distance comes and actually penetrates the whirlpool. The Rockets blow up and go off in the distance. Everyone's amazed at the flamethrower, but more importantly, where did it come from? The Rockets find themselves in front of Entei which they try to beg for their lives but they end up getting blasted again.

Naoya and the gang finally get to Entei, which Naoya challenges Entei to fight. Entei does stay, and Naoya sends out Misdreavus. The first thing Misdreavus does is Mean Look, which does pin down Entei from running. Misdreavus tries to use Swift, but Entei's build alone is enough to stop it. Misdreavus tries a Psybeam, but that too doesn't work. Misdreavus soon finally tries a Headbutt, but Entei sends Misdreavus back into the Pokeball with a Roar. Soon Entei runs off, but Naoya tries to call it back. Alls not too lost though, Naoya says he'll stay in the area in hopes to get another shot at Entei. The gang soon heads off, Misty trying to get Larvitar's trust, but it just don't seem to work. Ash chuckles and says that it'll never happen.
