Pokemon Episode 260: Hatch Me If You Can!

>
Scenario:
Where the last episode left off, Ash and co. are camping out, waiting for the egg to hatch. They're not sure what it is, but one can't be too hopeful in chancing it as a legendary Pokemon. (Or so Brock thinks) Then the egg glows, starting to hatch. But after a while the egg stops glowing. Maybe it's not warm enough? Ash decides to simply stick it under his shirt so it'll warm back up and stay warm. Some ways away, Jesse, James, and Meowth are spying on them. They overheard Brock's little remark of the egg and figure to snag it before the Pokemon could get used to Ash. Soon the egg starts to glow once more, but Ash keeps it inside his shirt, not wanting to risk it not going out again. After a while, he noticed that the egg did hatch. He pulled the Pokemon out of his shirt, which was a Lavitar. Ash checked it out with his PokeDex.

Except after a moment, Ash noticed something weird with the Lavitar. It just didn't seem right. Brock touched it too see if there was anything, apparently the Lavitar is cold! Brock looks in his guide book to see if there's any Pokemon Center nearby that they can take Lavitar to. Fortunately, there is one, and that's where the gang soon heads off to. At the Center, Lavitar seems bundled up and getting a little better. With the way things look, it may just take a while before Lavitar will get healthy again. Meanwhile back in New Bark Town, Prof. Oak and Ash's mom arrive there to wait on Ash's arrival.

Elm greets them and everyone catches up on what Ash's is doing, and what he's been doing. Back at the Pokemon Center, a storm soon comes around. A heater is placed next to Lavitar to help warm him up faster. Joy checks the Lavitar's temperature, which still isn't anywhere near healthy. The lightning from the storm soon gets closer, and eventually hits near the Center, or maybe at the Center as the lights are out. Joy goes outside to check what was hit. Obviously, the lightning must hit the generator on the side. There was a smoking hole and it looks like the generator will be out for a while. She went up to it, but fell down right in a pitfall trap! The trap was dug by none other than Jesse, James, and Meowth. Back inside, Ash seems to be a little worried about Joy. Then sirens seemed to sound and then Jesse (disguised as Joy) and James (disguised as another doctor) from the New Bark Pokemon Center arrive.

They say they'll bring the Lavitar to their Center and help it. But just before Ash could hand the Lavitar to them, Brock stopped him. He noticed there was something odd about this Joy. And he goes over the basic traits that only Joys have, but Jesse doesn't. Finally Jesse gives up on acting, but Meowth slaps her around before James calls it quits too. Finally James just grabs Lavitar in hopes to snag it. He managed to grab something... but it was only just Lavitar's blanket. Finally Pikachu shocks them out of the Center. Brock and Misty soon help Joy out of the hole.

Except now they're a little worried that Lavitar won't make it without the electricity being out. Inside, Ash seems to think of some way to warm up Lavitar, then he gets an idea. He sends out Cyndaquil and tells him to "fire up". Cyndaquil makes his flaming quills a little too strong at first, but soon makes it comfortable. Ash sits beside Cyndaquil with the Lavitar. Back in New Bark Town, Oak and Elm argue over a few things during dinner. Deeliah seems to sit there, until she notices the PC's flashing a "new e-mail" message. She tells the professors and they soon go up to check out the message.

Meanwhile in the Center, everyone's asleep. Ash has one dream in particular. At first he's in darkness before he hears a motorcycle take off. However, he's stuck in a box on a motorcycle. The motorcycle crashes, the box breaks which is actually the same egg Lavitar was in... only this time Ash is in it. The egg rolls down into a stream. (The scene skips over to a city) Then the egg is kicked around. Ash tries to yell out but it doesn't work. Finally the egg gets kicked onto the road where a truck almost runs it over. About that time, Ash wakes up, then he gets the idea of what happened with Lavitar. That morning, Oak, Elm, and Deeliah finally get to the Pokemon Center.

They check out the Lavitar for a moment and says that he just needs a little more time before he can get better. Deeliah soon comes into the room, saying breakfast is ready. At the table, Ash talks to Elm about the Lavitar, saying about his dream he had. The Lavitar might be a little shaken and scared, so he wants to help the Lavitar get used to the world before he lets it go. Just about that time, Lavitar finally wakes up, a little confused of his location. Ash soon takes Lavitar to show the outside for a while. He first shows the Pokemon the ocean in the distance. Lavitar doesn't seem a little too phased. Ash soon places him down and lays back on the grass to look at the sky. He continues to talk to the Lavitar about everything to make the world seem less scary.

Soon a group of Jumpluff fly about. Just a little ways from them, two people interrupt. It's Jesse and James next to a haystack, attempting to get the Lavitar to go with them once more. Ash argues with them before Team Rocket decide to resort to their "plan B". They go inside the haystack and out pops one of their many machines, complete with a net, claw, and a giant hand. They try to use the net but Ash picks up Lavitar and escapes. Next they fire off the hand. Meowth says that if he can win at a rock-paper-scizors then he'll back off. Just that Ash loses with scizors. The hand soon grabs onto Ash, but Ash drops Lavitar. Ash tells Lavitar to run, but things don't look too good for him. Ash tells Pikachu to try to help Lavitar run but Team Rocket soon close in on him. They attempt to grab Lavitar now, but the Jumpluff's soon figure it out. Pikachu tries to shock the machine, but it's electric resistant.

Finally the claw grabs Pikachu. Lavitar soon gets up, and Team Rocket try their net once more. However, the Jumpluffs soon start tackling the net away. Lavitar watches this, shocked to see all this happening. As the last of the Jumpluff are knocked away, Lavitar soon uses his Screech. Misty, Brock, Oak, and Elm soon look to see what's going on, but the screech stops them from going further. Ash soon tells Lavitar to run away once more, but Lavitar stops for a moment. He remembers about Ash, helping him throughout all this time. Team Rocket make their move but soon Lavitar starts up an attack that stops Team Rocket in their tracks and lifts them straight into the air! Pikachu soon breaks free and orbs soon start to form around Lavitar.

Elm mentions that it's Hidden Power. Then Lavitar releases the energy that sends Team Rocket flying away. Ash runs up to Lavitar, thanking him. Then the Jumpluffs soon come by, but Lavitar seems a little scared. Ash reassures him that the Pokemon won't hurt him. He then points over to a few Bellossoms dancing, saying that they're dancing for him. Soon a group of Butterfree and a flock of Pidgey fly by. All these seem to make Lavitar happy. Everyone comes and encourages Lavitar... but now what to do with it? Later in New Bark Town, Ash registers for the Johto League Tournament before heading out. Just before Ash and co. departs, they have a chat with Elm about Lavitar. Elm says that Ash should take Lavitar, since after all he's going to be at Mt. Silver sooner or later and Ash is the only one Lavitar can really trust right now. Misty and Brock seem a little upset but everything works out. Soon they head off to the next town to the championships.
